Presentation: "Expanded Polystyrene Geofoam and Its Uses"
This presentation will provide comprehensive information on Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Geofoam and its uses in the construction industry. The physical characteristics and the performance benefits of EPS Geofoam will be explained along with why it is an excellent material for applications where a lightweight material is required to reduce stresses on underlying soils or lateral pressures on walls and foundations.
Speaker: Daren Durey, ACH Foam Technologies
Daren Durey was raised in rural Illinois, the son of an itinerant preacher, whose values he still honors. His experiences range from “pumping gas” to quality control foreman in the steel mill. However, he considers one of his best life preparations to be his six years in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant and earning the coveted position of Drill Sergeant. He has spent the last 23 years successfully growing sales in the EPS industry while building relationships and business partnerships. He comes to us as a senior member on the sales team of the second largest processor of EPS in North America, ACH Foam Technologies. Daren resides in Princeton, IL, a small farming community Southwest of Chicago, with His “bride” of 37 years. Together they enjoy the frequent and active visits of their twelve grandchildren.
