Presentation About Engineers Without Borders
On 15 April 2017, AAAEA-Capital Area hosted Mr. Robert Horner, the president of the Engineers Without Borders - DC Chapter to give a presentation about Engineers Without Borders - USA organization and the specific projects being completed by the Washington, DC Professional Chapter, including a clean water supply project in Cameroon, a community and technology center in Panama, and a project being developed in El Salvador.
Engineers Without Borders - USA (EWB-USA) focuses on connecting a developing community that has a specific infrastructure needs to engineers who can partner with the community to design a sustainable solution.
Mr. Horner expressed a desire in collaborating with our association in providing third party reviewers on future projects.
This event was part of the AAAEA-Capital Area efforts in reaching out to other organizations and identifies opportunities for education and joint collaborations.
